When and where?
The PESS 2019 will be held at the Lukasklause Magdeburg on the July 9 to 11. The Lukasklause is only a few minutes walking from the University and can be found in the northeastern corner of the Madgeburger town walls. In between the presentation sessions catering will be provided such as snacks, drinks and lunch. Furthermore, two evening events are offered on 9th (evening event 1) and 10th (evening event 2).

Who can participate?
The PESS is a technical conference, which is organized especially for students in the field of electric power systems.
From the March 1 the registration will be open and you can upload your paper here. Please mind that only full papers in English with 4 to 6 pages will be regarded in the review process. You can find the full paper template here. The topics of the conference are as follows: Renewable Energies, High voltage, grid operation and planning, Power Quality, Protection technology, HVDC, and FACTS.
The conference offers two types of presentation: oral and poster. After the review process each participant will be assigned one of these types. Students chosen for the poster presentation will be given the opportunity to give a short summary of their poster in 3 minutes at the beginning of the session. This will provide a basis to get into touch with other participants during the rest of the session.
How much does it cost?
Participants need to pay 20 if they are students, otherwise it will cost 60 .
This covers following:
- Accomodation from Juli 9 to 11
- Lunch, snakcs and drinks inbetween the sessions
- Food and drinks at the evening events 1 and 2
- A civic visit at the substation Wolmirstedt

The best participants will be honored with an award for the best paper, the best presentation and the best poster.
